It supports hardware acceleration for decoding and encoding video streams (NVidia NVENC and NVDEC, Intel QVC, Microsoft DXVA2, CUDA, and OMX). HomeCast can play media on modern TVs, home theaters through various cast devices such as ChromeCast, ChromeCast HD, and Google Home. HomeCast employs some of the latest SSL technologies to ensure the security and privacy (one SSL certificate per media center).
